The Celebrate Bandra Press Conference was held on November 11, 2009 at the D’Monte Park Recreation Center.

The cyclonic storm and rain did little to dampen spirits and Dino Morea, Imran Khan, Diana Hayden and Viren Rasquinha graced the occasion to pledge their support to the Go Green festival. The mood was upbeat and everyone was happy that our celebs mixed freely and chatted with the crowd.

The press was present in full force. They were delighted with the photo opportunities of their favourite celebs and a sneak peak at the loaded festival content. The Festival schedule was released and is now available to all.

The art installations were a big attraction. Our sponsors were happy to see their waste being turned into artistic creations. The whirring windmills created with Hindustan Times newspapers, The Vodaphone tree made from bill covers and the Tuborg bottle and cap installation created an impact and managed to elicit an interest in how rag pickers loot could be made to look beautiful and useful.

By the end of the evening, one thing was clear: Come hail, rain or high water, the Celebrate Bandra Go Green Festival 2009 will carry on.
