Celebrate Bandra 2009 will witness a celebration of Bandra’s Environment. Bandra’s geographical lines have changed drastically over the years. Vast areas of the sea surrounding our suburb have been reclaimed. We now have a sea link spanning the ocean from Bandra to Worli, with aspirations of going even further.
The festival will highlight the urgent need to be environment friendly, and our theme is ‘Going Green.’ With funds from Celebrate Bandra 2007 the committee has sponsored a Rain Water Harvesting Project at Holy Family Hospital, a school bus and a Solar Water Heating Project at St. Catherine of Siena Welfare Society for Destitute Children. We propose to promote the urgent need to make Bandra plastic free so look out for our eco friendly initiatives.
At the fourth Celebrate Bandra festival we have raised the bar across all disciplines. So whether it’s the Wine and Food Festival, or the performing and visual arts segments, you will see, as it unfolds, that your festival this year is bigger and better.
So come, let’s celebrate everything that is BANDRA!
Help us make Bandra a truly Environment Friendly suburb.
